Eyes’ Blink, Silence Sings

A cry squeaks free, the womb’s warm hug is done,
Eyes blink at light, a world’s bright sun spins fun.
Her smile’s a sunny wave, the cradle swings,
Pain’s poke, her hum, spark love—or need’s quick strings.

A name lands soft, it wraps my heart in place,
Her milk’s sweet flow, but hunger’s got no base.
My grin’s a tease, her heart hears rivers hum,
A made-up me, from names, begins to drum.

What kicks this buzz, this “who” my eyes go find?
From coos to cries, thoughts bounce and twirl in mind.
In quiet’s hush—her breath, a star’s soft glow—
The noise just fades, no need to grab or know.

Like waves that roll where life’s big why just springs,
Pure silence sings, where thought’s small spark takes wings.
